ESD Printing
First make sure you are on the ESD network.
ESD Chromebook
- Click the Print button or Ctrl + P
- Select "esd black & white" or "esd color"
- If you do not see "esd black & white" or "esd color", click "See more..."
- From the list that appears, select "esd black & white" or "esd color"
- Click Print
Go to any public printer on campus with a Badge Swipe Reader (Library, the Commons, etc.) and swipe your badge to receive your print job. Any printing will automatically cancel if it has not been printed in 2 hours.
Personal Macbook
- In the Apple Menu select System Preference
- Select Printers & Scanners
- Click + under the printer list
- Select "ESD Color" printer
- Click Add
- Repeat for "ESD B/W" printer
When you print the first time, an authentication window will pop up (it might be behind other windows). Put in your ESD username and password. Click the checkbox to remember the password in your keychain.
The printers should now be listed under your printer selections when you go to print.
Personal Windows Laptop

Click this link to download the Mobility Print App
- Open the downloaded file:
- Click “Yes” if asked to allow the app to make changes to your device
- Click “Ok” to select the English language
- Click “I accept the agreement”
- Click “Next”
- Select the "ESD Color" and “ESD Black & White” printers
- Click “Next”
- Use your ESD login info for Username (include @esdallas.org) and Password
- Click “Next”
- Click “Finish”

To check that the printers are installed:
- Click the Windows button
- Type printers
- Select “Printers and Scanners”
The printers will be listed under your printer selections when you go to print.
Personal Chromebook
- Click Mobility Print Chrome app to install the app
- Click "Add to Chrome"
- Click "Add App"
- The printers should now be listed under your printer selections when you go to print.
- Click Print
- Use your ESD login info for Username (include @esdallas.org) and Password
- Check the "Save your credentials" box for future use.
